Notice of Change of Trade Name
- From Calp Corporation to Lion Idemitsu Composites Co., Ltd. - |

At a meeting of the board of directors held on yesterday, Calp Corporation (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. President: Yasuo Tateishi), it was decided the trade name of Calp Corporation would be changed to “Lion Idemitsu Composites Co., Ltd.” from April 1, 2010. The company name will be changed, subject to the approval of changes to its articles of incorporation to be made at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders scheduled to be held in March this year.

At the 30th anniversary of its founding, as the company intends to expand its business activities with the aim of forging ahead toward global business while focusing on the next thirty years, the name of the company will be changed, by combining the name of its parent company, “Lion Corporation” with “Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd.”
The company will focus on the following points with the aim of achieving a sales volume of 25 billion yen by fiscal 2015.

Increasing current overseas sales with the focus on China and Southeast Asia. |

Expansion of development and sales of special composite materials in the field of engineering plastics at the same time as maintaining sales of composite materials for general-purpose plastics (mainly polyolefin) constituents.

Expansion of development and sales of new environmentally-friendly materials utilizing sources such as recycled plastics and natural materials. |
|
Under our new company name, we will endeavor to meet customer needs and undertake the development of new functional raw materials with contributions to society as the basis of its corporate activities.
