| Lion Corporation (President: Itsuo Hama) announced today the nationwide release on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 of PAIR® Kampo Extract Tablets—a herbal medicine primarily effective against premenstrual pimple outbreaks —and PAIR® Acne Medicated Liquid, a topical medicine for use in treating pimples as soon as they appear. These two new products are additions to the Lion PAIR® brand line of acne medicines, which focus on adult acne and other skin conditions. At the same time, Lion will rerelease PAIR® A Tablets, PAIR® A and PAIR® Acne Cream W with new and improved packaging. |
1. Objective of Introducing the New Products
According to a 2011 Lion survey on adult acne among women in their 20s and 30s, 50% of respondents are concerned about recurring outbreaks of pimples in the same area of skin while 50% worried about pimples that heal poorly. However, with only 47% of those surveyed expressing satisfaction with the acne treatments currently available, it is clear that the majority of respondents are dissatisfied. In addition, when asked about the times that adult acne most often occurs, “just prior to menstruation” was the response of 57% of women—a far greater number than those who report suffering from acne while under stress or when tired.
Lion will release PAIR® Kampo Extract Tablets, a herbal medicine that provides effective relief from within the body primarily against premenstrual adult acne outbreaks. Lion will also release PAIR® Acne Medicated Liquid—a topical medicine for treating pimples as soon as they appear—to meet the needs of the 96% of concerned women who want an immediate solution to their adult acne.
At the same time, Lion will rerelease the following PAIR® brand products with new and improved package designs: PAIR® A Tablets oral tablet-type medicine and PAIR® A drink-type medicine, which promote increased metabolism and waste material removal in order to effectively treat recurring pimple outbreaks caused by disruptions in one’s daily routine; and PAIR® Acne Cream W, a topical, medicated cream that provides effective relief from inflamed and red pimples.
Lion will expand the PAIR® brand of effective acne medicines through the addition of PAIR® Kampo Extract Tablets oral medicine and PAIR® Acne Medicated Liquid topical medicine, both of which meet the needs of women who are concerned about adult acne. |
