Lion Corporation (Representative Director, President and Executive Officer: Masayuki Takemori) is set to launch the fully renewed version of NANOX one laundry detergent. By adopting a new enzyme for the first time in the brand’s history, the product has been reimagined as a “Super Enzyme Complete Gel” capable of thoroughly cleansing clothing of even bacteria-derived DNA that causes yellowing and odors. It will be newly launched across Japan in September 2025.

With its advanced detergency and superior wash finish, NANOX one helps create habits that keep clothes cleaner and wearable for longer.
Through a Company survey, we found that the three leading sources of dissatisfaction regarding residual stains and odors after washing are collar and cuff stains, yellowing, and musty odors from damp laundry.*2 These are problems that ordinary detergents struggle to resolve, leaving many consumers to simply give up on them.
Our research into the causes of such stains and odors revealed that bacteria-derived DNA that was not being fully removed by our existing detergents, plays a role. As a result, stains and odors remain on clothing. Drawing on the results of long-standing enzyme research, we have adopted an enzyme capable of breaking down and removing even bacteria-derived DNA. With this, NANOX one has been renewed and will relaunch as a laundry detergent that thoroughly removes even stubborn yellowing and odors.

[Lion’s history of enzyme research]
For many years, Lion has pursued enzyme research to develop detergents that make everyday laundry easier.
In 1979, we launched TOP with Enzyme Power, the first detergent to incorporate enzymes as components that break down protein stains, dramatically improving detergency. In 1988, we followed with Hi TOP, which incorporated a lipid-degrading enzyme (a high-tech enzyme), further advancing cleaning technologies that utilize enzymes.
With this newly adopted enzyme, NANOX one now delivers enhanced cleaning and deodorizing power.

We recommend one-rinse washing out of consideration for the environment, contributing to saving water and energy as well as reducing CO2. Washing with a single rinse also reduces damage to clothing and helps prevent color change.
(5) Main bottle made with 100% recycled plastic (PET)
The main bottle is made of 100% recycled plastic (PET) derived from collected used plastic bottles and other materials.
Since its launch in 2010, the TOP NANOX brand has been loved by many customers. In 2023, it entered a new stage as NANOX one, and it has now evolved further with the addition of the new enzyme.
