Lion Supports the Hygiene Education of Children in Bangladesh through JICA

On March 7 (Tuesday), 2023, Lion Corporation (President: Masazumi Kikukawa) concluded an agreement to support the hygiene education of children in Bangladesh through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (“JICA”; President: Akihiko Tanaka). Lion’s aim in providing this support is to help spread and instill knowledge of proper hygiene among children in Bangladesh in line with its ongoing efforts to foster cleaning and hygiene habits.

Background of the Agreement Related to Donations
The Lion Group conducts corporate activities in line with its management vision of “Becoming an advanced daily healthcare company,” which stems from its purpose of “Making a difference in everyday lives by redesigning habits: ReDesign.” Among the strategies we have formulated to realize this vision is to accelerate growth in the four fields of value creation. Accordingly, we are working to establish proper hygiene habits in Japan and overseas by fostering everyday habits centered on hygiene.
The decision to support the hygiene education of children in Bangladesh through JICA is in line with the activities of a project to enhance the inspection, regulation and adjustment functions of the Bangladesh Food Safety Authority.


Overview
Matters of Cooperation:
We will provide educational materials to facilitate the proper understanding and practice of hygiene education for children in Bangladesh.
Scope:
Hygiene education, including for schoolchildren, students, educators, guardians, and local residents

Going forward, Lion will continue contributing to this education, working alongside consumers to realize a society where everyone can live in clean conditions.

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)
