Lion Corporation (Representative Director, President and Executive Officer: Masayuki Takemori) will undertake the launch of NANOX one Antibacterial x Quick Wash Laundry Detergent at select retail outlets*1 on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. This zero-rinse formula enables a wash cycle to be completed in just 15 minutes*2 and suppresses odors with its high antibacterial properties.

The Lion Group, aiming to realize a sustainable society, is striving to promote the reduction of water usage in line with the long-term environmental goals of LION Eco Challenge 2050,*3 established in 2019. Due to the significant amount of energy consumed in purifying, transporting and treating wastewater, the Company has focused efforts on water conservation in laundry. As the market for laundry detergents continues to shift toward higher value-added products and expand, our emphasis has been on developing detergents that deliver the same results as conventional products and techniques even when the rinse cycle is omitted.
Meanwhile, approximately 60% of Japanese households consist of single individuals or couples without children, with dual-income households having reached 12 million.*4 This shift away from traditional household models and lifestyles has led to heightened interest in efficiency and time-saving measures when it comes to household chores. According to a Lion survey, 84% of respondents indicated a desire to complete laundry quickly,*5 highlighting the growing demand for time-saving solutions.
Against this backdrop, we are launching the new NANOX one Antibacterial x Quick Wash Laundry Detergent under our NANOX one brand. Requiring zero rinses, this detergent allows for a wash cycle to be completed in just 15 minutes and suppresses odors with its powerful antibacterial properties. “NANOX one” delivers advanced detergency and superior cleaning results, keeping clothes cleaner and wearable longer. It also offers both reduced water usage and shortened washing times, for a new laundry routine that is gentle on both the environment and people.

Utilizing a breakthrough technology that combines highly effective surfactants with cleaning polymers that encapsulate and remove grime, we've achieved zero-rinse washing that quickly removes stains while minimizing foam.
Zero-rinse washing cuts out the rinse cycle, which accounts for about 70% of the washing process, saving time. This makes it ideal for evenings when you want to finish quickly, hectic mornings, or busy days when you need to squeeze in laundry during spare moments.

(2) Laundry can be done as usual, but without rinsing
Washing with zero rinses delivers detergency equivalent to our conventional concentrated detergent (which requires one rinse). Furthermore, it maximizes antibacterial effects (confirmed by antibacterial testing), suppressing unpleasant odors.
Even with zero rinses, there's no lingering foam, minimizes risk of detergent residue.*6

(3) Zero-rinse washing reduces environmental impact
Zero-rinse washing enables an approximately 50% reduction in water and electricity usage*7 compared to a conventional two-rinse washing cycle. Moreover, the main product bottle is made from 100% recycled PET, sourced from recycled materials such as collected PET bottles.
