Lion Selected as a Supplier Engagement Leader, the Highest Rating under the CDP
Supplier Engagement Rating Program, for the Seventh Consecutive Year

May. 29, 2026 Sustainability

Lion Corporation (Representative Director, President Executive Officer: Masayuki Takemori) has been recognized as a supplier engagement leader for the seventh consecutive year under the Supplier Engagement Rating Program of the CDP, an international NPO that offers a system for environment-related information disclosure.

The Lion Group has identified “Promoting initiatives for a sustainable global environment” as one of its material sustainability issues and is working to realize a decarbonized society and a circular economy under its long-term environmental objectives, “LION Eco Challenge 2050.” In order to reduce environmental impact across the entire product life cycle, we are promoting CO2 emissions reduction and resource circulation and advancing environmental and procurement risk management in collaboration with suppliers throughout the supply chain, from raw material procurement to production, logistics, use and disposal.

The Supplier Engagement Rating is an index designed to promote the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions across the supply chain by assessing how companies engage and collaborate with their suppliers. Companies are evaluated based on their responses to four areas in CDP’s climate change questionnaire—governance, targets, Scope 3 emissions accounting and supplier engagement—among other factors. Lion was highly evaluated for its initiatives to address climate change across the supply chain, including supplier assessments based on the “Lion Group Supplier CSR Guidelines” and requests for environmental information disclosure through CDP.

The Lion Group is reinforcing its management based on its purpose, “Make a difference in everyday lives by redesigning habits: ReDesign.” We regard sustainability as a material issue for achieving our management vision, “Becoming an advanced daily healthcare company.” Going forward, we will continue to promote the “habits that make a difference” together with consumers, suppliers and other stakeholders, striving to contribute to a sustainable society and global environment while enhancing corporate value. Going forward, we will continue to contribute to the realization of a decarbonized, resource-circulating society by promoting the formation of environmentally friendly habits together with consumers.
