The FDI is one of the world’s largest international nongovernmental, nonprofit organizations in the oral and dental care field and represents over one million dentists around the globe. Founded in 1900 and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, its members include dental associations and related organizations from over 130 countries and areas. The FDI works with the World Health Organization (WHO) and other organizations to influence global oral health policy and guidelines with the goal of improving oral hygiene for all.
